Dentist Jobs description

The dentist is a doctor who specializes in treating patients who have diseases, malformations, and injuries to teeth and gums. The dentist diagnoses the teeth condition with the help of X-rays, dental tools and other applications. The doctor cleans the teeth, fills it with fluoride caps in infected places and extracts the tooth if has decayed badly enough. Dentists also replace missing teeth with artificial ones and polish them. There are various names of dentists who specialize in different areas of dental care. Some of the titles are orthodontists, endodontists, oral surgeons, pedodontists, periodontists, prosthodontists, and public health dentists.

The job candidate for the dentist should at least have six to eight years of training after high school. Most students need to have at least a bachelor's degree when they begin dental college. Degrees such as the doctor of dental surgery (DDS) or a doctor of dental medicine (DMD) degree are the basic requirements for becoming a dentist.
