The appointment will be at Honorary Consultant level and you will be on a GDC specialist list. This exciting and varied post involves not only teaching at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level relevant to discipline, but Clinical Governance roles related to the following: To be the lead clinical decision maker and hold responsibility for clinical quality and standards, clinical supervisors and student clinical experience in the Dental Education Facilities and the Simulated Dental Learning Environment. To be the lead Clinician ensuring that the highest clinical quality and standards are maintained at all times. To work closely with the Clinical Leads and Director of Community Based Dentistry to ensure that Peninsula Dental School delivers the highest quality of patient care and training. To lead on clinical standard setting within **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Peninsula Dental School To lead the Dental Clinical Quality and Standards Meeting and Clinical Away Days. To assist and support the Clinical Lead/Associate Directors in the management and appraisal of clinical supervisors. To work closely with the Clinical Leads / Associate Directors to manage and lead the dental laboratories and provision of Dental Laboratory work. To work closely with the Directors of Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise. Based in the Faculty of Health, the Peninsula Dental School is committed to three core aims: outstanding clinical education, strong social engagement, and world class research which all feature strongly in the student learning experience. A key strength is a close relationship with our clinical placement provider-Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise (PDSE), with early clinical contact for all students. The School offer students ultra modern facilities and are committed to producing dental practitioners with clinical skills of the highest order and a strong sense of social awareness. The state-of-the-art Dental Education Facilities provide a substantial service to over 5,000 NHS patients per year.
